Calvin Women's Acrobatics and Tumbling Continues Campaign at Buffalo State

RESULTS

BUFFALO, NY – Calvin competed in its second dual meet of the season on Saturday, falling at Buffalo State 206.765-99.350.

The Knights improved their overall score from an earlier dual meet this winter against Adrian when Calvin scored 98.400 points.

Calvin opened the meet with the compulsory event with the Knights receiving a score of 14.25 points with its best success coming in the pyramid portion as they scored 6.05 points with a start value of 8.00. The overall score of 14.25 points was a 1.05 point improvement from its February 10 meet with Adrian.

In the acro event, Calvin received 17.85 points with a start value of 24.60. Calvin's biggest point production came in the pyramid event with Calvin receiving a score of 21.45 off a start value of 26.90. In the inversion section of the event, Calvin received a score of 8.15 with a start value of 9.40.

Calvin scored 15.10 points in the toss event with a start value of 26.00. The Knights had good success in the tumbling event, scoring a season-high 30.700 points with a start value of 44.10. The score was more than a four-point improvement over its production at Adrian when it scored 26.555 in the tumbling event.

COACHES COMMENT: "I'm proud of our effort today," said Calvin head coach Tiffani Lincoln. "We improved our score from last meet. We need to continue to work on our acrobatics and tumbling fundamentals and our focus on the mat."

NEXT UP: Calvin will compete in a tri-meet next Wednesday at Adrian along with East Texas Baptist. Meet time next Wednesday is 6 p.m.
