Freshman base Jillian Empie (Milford, Mich./Milford) has been named a National Specialist of the Week Honorable Mention by the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association.
 
Empie made a strong impact in the specialist pyramid event this past week in the Calvin's meet against Concordia Wisconsin. She delivered confident and steady performances that contributed valuable points for the team. Her meet was highlighted by a 7.10/8.00 in the compulsory pyramid head, 8.55/9.40 in pyramid heat one and an 8.150/8.80 in pyramid heat two.
 
The Knights will be back in action Monday, March 30th when they welcome Trine to Van Noord Arena for a 6 PM meet.
