Calvin University freshman
Will Lanham was named MIAA Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.
Lanham (Commerce Township, Mich./Notre Dame Prep) won the honor after helping Calvin to a 2-0 week with wins over Alma College (4-0) and DePauw University (3-1).
The freshman midfielder finished the week with a pair of goals, both coming in the 4-0 win over Alma on September 24. Lanham scored his first goal late in the first half, and then added a penalty kick goal late in the match to help seal the win.
This season, Lanham has played in all eight matches and ranks second on the Knights with three goals scored and six total points.
The 7-1 Calvin men's soccer team will return to action on Wednesday, October 1, when it travels to Lake Forest College (Ill.) for a match scheduled to start at 4:30 PM (CT).
