Calvin University sophomore Rodrigo Alipio was named MIAA Men's Tennis Player of the Week on Monday.
 
Alipio (Santos, São Paulo, Brazil/COC Universitario) won the honor after a strong performance in two Calvin 7-0 wins against The University of Olivet and Albion College last week.
 
In the two matches, Alipio went 2-0 in both number-one singles and number-one doubles and won both of his singles matches in straight sets.
 
This season, Alipio is 15-2 in singles and 12-6 in doubles, with each match coming in the number-one slot in the line-up.
 
This is the fifth time this season Alipio has been named MIAA Men's Tennis Player of the Week.
