MEQUON, Wis. - Today the Calvin acrobatics and tumbling team continued their 2025 campaign as they traveled to take on the Falcons of Concordia in a dual meet.

The Knights kicked off the six-event competition evening in the compulsory event which included acro, pyramid, toss, and tumbling heats. Calvin had a start value of 32.00 and received a final score of 19.40 with their highest score of 7.00 coming in the toss heat. Concordia had a start value of 38.00 and finished with a score of 30.40.

In the acro event Calvin had a start value of 24.70 and received a score of 20.85 while the Falcons had a start value of 27.70 and finished with a 23.75.

The competition continued in the pyramid where the Knights finished with a score of 23.90 after having a start value of 27.50. Their best score in the event came in the inversion heat where they scored a 8.40. In the same event, Concordia had a start value of 28.80 and received a final score of 26.75.

In the toss event Calvin had a starting score of 25.90 and finished with a score of 21.35. The Falcons had a start value of 27.00 and received a score of 24.75. In the tumbling event, where the Knights had a start value of 46.60, the squads competed in a duo pass, trio pass, quad pass, arial pass, 6 element pass, and an open pass. The Knights finished with a score 39.55 while Concordia received a score of 40.60 after having a start value of 45.65.

The evening came to a close after the team event where the Knights had a start value of 79.14 and received a score of 51.89 while the Falcons had a starting value of 90.49 and received a score of 70.14.Â

After completing all of the events, the Knights ultimately fell to Concordia 176.94-216.39.
COACHES COMMENTS: "Improving every meet has been a major goal of this team and to deliver again by improving another six points is encouraging," said head coach
Ellen Barker. "Team event looked it's best this season so far, and we had some excellent solo tumbling improvements as well. Looking forward to bring acro to Van Noord Arena!"

UP NEXT: The Knights will be back in action on Wednesday, March 9th when they welcome Adrian to Van Noord Arena for their first ever home meet. Competition is set to begin at 6PM.
