Calvin University senior midfielder Mikaela Waroway was named MIAA Offensive Player of the Week for women's soccer on Monday.
 
Waroway (Ann Arbor, Mich./Father Gabriel Richard) won the honor for her performance in a pair of 1-0 defeats of third-ranked University of Chicago (September 23) and at Ohio Northern University (September 26).
 
Waroway scored the game-winning goal in the first minute of the second half to give the Knights the 1-0 win over third-ranked Chicago and giving the Maroons their first defeat of the season. Waroway followed that performance by assisting on the only goal in the 1-0 Calvin win at Ohio Northern on Saturday.
 
This season, Waroway leads the 6-1-0 Knights in both goals (six) and points (13).
 
Calvin women's soccer will return to action on Wednesday, September 30, when it opens MIAA play with a match at Adrian College scheduled to start at 7:00 PM.
