Calvin University junior goalkeeper Aubree Lee was named MIAA Defensive Player of the Week for women's soccer on Monday.
 
Lee (Lowell, Mich./Lowell/Tiffin University) won the honor after recording a pair of shutouts in 1-0 Calvin wins over University of Chicago (September 23) and at Ohio Northern University (September 26).
 
Against third-ranked Chicago, Lee stopped four shots to record a clean sheet on the way to handing the Maroons their first defeat of the season. In the second game of the week, Lee stopped three shots to record the shutout.
 
This season, Lee has two shutouts and started in two other team shutouts while recording a .714 save percentage and 1.0 goals against average while helping the Knights to a 6-1-0 start to the season.
 
Calvin women's soccer will return to action on Wednesday, September 30, when it opens MIAA play with a match at Adrian College scheduled to start at 7:00 PM.
