The Calvin University baseball team received a Team Academic Excellence Award from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) on Wednesday.
 
The award recognizes collegiate and high school teams that are members of the ABCA and post a cumulative team grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher for the 2025-26 academic year.
 
Calvin is one of nearly 500 collegiate programs (including NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA and Junior Colleges) to be recognized with the award to go with 320 high school programs across the country.

The Calvin baseball team finished the 2025-26 academic year with a 3.2 cumulative GPA.
 
Calvin finished the 2026 season with a 16-22 record and went 7-12 in the MIAA under the direction of second-year head coach Joel Schipper.
