Calvin University sophomore
Landon Evans has received CSC Division III All-Academic District honors in baseball.
To qualify for nomination for Academic All-District, student-athletes must meet the following qualifications:
- Sophomore athletically or higher
- 3.50 cumulative grade point average (GPA) or higher
- Played in at least 90 percent of their team's games in the 2026 season or started in 67 percent of them.
Evans is a finance major at Calvin with minors in accounting and supply chain management. He has been a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and a Calvin Dean's List student.
He was a starter at first base for the Knights this spring, batting .330 with 25 runs batted in and 15 runs scored. He had 11 doubles and three home runs, registering a slugging percentage of .524 and an OPS of .968.
Evans hails from Richland, Michigan. He is a graduate of Gull Lake High School.
