Two members of the Calvin University men's tennis team received Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar Athlete honors on Wednesday.
 
Emmanuel Henao (Medellin, Columbia/Escuela Normal Superior "La Merced") and Caleb Bartels (Loch Lloyd, Mo./Kansas City Christian) each earned ITA Scholar Athlete honors for the Knights.
 
An individual must finish the school year with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher to qualify for the ITA Scholar Athlete award.
 
Calvin men's tennis finished the 2025-26 season under first-year head coach George Rodriguez with an 8-9 record overall and went 6-1 in league play to take second place in the MIAA before falling in the semifinal round of the MIAA Tournament.
