Calvin University sophomore Caleb Bartels was named MIAA Player of the Week for men's tennis on Monday.
 
Bartels (Loch Lloyd, Mo./Kansas City Christian) won the honor after going 3-0 in singles competition and helping the Knights to a 2-1 week in conference play with wins over Adrian College and Alma College
 
In the three matches, Bartels won all three singles matchups in the number-two spot in the line-up in straight sets to end his regular season on an 11-match winning streak.
 
This marks the second straight week Bartels has been named MIAA Player of the Week.
 
Calvin men's tennis finished the conference season 6-1 and will return to action on Wednesday, April 29, when it hosts the MIAA Tournament semifinal at Strikwerda Tennis Center.
