In doubles, the team of Alipio and Neto won their round-one match-up 8-4 before losing in the round of 32 by an 8-2 final.

COACH'S COMMENT: "It was great to see some of our players play this weekend at the ITA Regionals in Kalamazoo," Calvin head tennis coach George Rodriguez said. "It was nice to see that everyone won their first round matches. It was great to see how strong our region is and where we fall amongst them. There were some great matches that even though the score did not reflect it, we knew we are close to breaking through to become an elite team. We had flashes of brilliance to keep building upon. It will be an exciting journey."

NEXT UP: Calvin men's tennis will return to action on Saturday, October 11, when it plays at Saginaw Valley State University.
