The Calvin University baseball team received a Team Academic Excellence Award from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) on Wednesday.
 
The award recognizes collegiate and high school teams that are members of the ABCA and post a cumulative team grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher for the 2024-25 academic year.
 
Calvin is one of 440 collegiate programs (including NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA and Junior Colleges) to be recognized with the award.
 
Calvin finished the 2025 season with a 23-18 record and went 15-6 in the MIAA, good for a second-place finish in the final conference standings.
