Calvin University men's volleyball player
Nick Bultje was named Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday.
To receive the honor, a men's volleyball student-athlete must be at least a sophomore in eligibility and maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher. They must also compete in at least 90 percent of their team's contests or start 66 percent of their games during the season.
Bultje (Byron Center, Mich./South Christian) earned the honor after a strong sophomore season in which he was named Second Team All-MCVL for the second straight season after averaging 1.82 kills per set with a .275 attack efficiency. He also averaged 0.81 blocks per set.
A sophomore biology major with a 3.8 GPA, Bultje is a one-time MCVL Academic Honor Roll and four-time Calvin Dean's List honoree.
Calvin men's volleyball finished the 2025 season with an 8-18 record and went 1-7 in MCVL play.
