Two members of the Calvin University men's golf team were named Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday.
Jackson Glanzer and
Matt Turcotte each won the honor for the Knights.
To receive the honor, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore in eligibility and maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher. Golfers must compete in at least 70 percent of their team's matches or compete in their conference championship event.
The Calvin men's golf team finished the 2024-25 season in third place in the final MIAA standings.
Jackson Glanzer
Glanzer (Stevensville, Mich./Berrien Springs) earned his first CSC Academic All-District honor after a season in which he received All-MIIAA Second Team recognition following a 75.33 scoring average in six conference events.
A senior health and physical education major with a 3.88 GPA, Glanzer is a four-time MIAA Academic Honor Roll and eight-time Calvin Dean's List honoree.
Matt Turcotte
Turcotte (Grandville, Mich./Calvin Christian) was named CSC Academic All-District for the second straight year after a season in which he finished with an average score of 74.33 strokes. He is also a two-time All-MIAA First Team member.
A junior finance major with a 3.86 GPA, Turcotte is a two-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and a six-time Calvin Dean's List honoree.
