The Calvin University men's golf team finished the NCAA Division III Region V Showcase at Catawba Island Club in third place on Tuesday in the team's final official round of the fall season.
The Knights entered the day in fourth place and jumped one spot following a Tuesday round of 312 to make a two-day total of 627.
Calvin was led by
Jack Marzolino (Byron Center, Mich./Byron Center), who carded a 2-over par 74 and played the final 11 holes in 2-under par. Marzolino finished the tournament with a two-day total of 153, good for a third place tie individually.
Ethan Tiller (Kalamazoo, Mich./Portage Central) shot 77 on the day to tie
Matt Turcotte (Grandville, Mich./Calvin Christian) for 14th place in the tournament with a 158 total. Turcotte shot 80 in his Tuesday round.
Ian Tuin (Kalamazoo, Mich./Kalamazoo Christian) shot 81 to finish 21st overall with a tournament total of 160.
Trine University won the event with a two-day score of 613, followed by Otterbein University with 618 in second place.
