Calvin Lands Seven on All-MIAA Women's Soccer List - Judd Repeats as League MVP

Seven members of the Calvin women's soccer team have received All-MIAA honors. The honor roll list is headlined by senior midfielder Mia Judd who has been named the MIAA's Most Valuable Player in women's soccer for the second straight year.

Judd has also been named to the All-MIAA First Team along with teammates CeCe McCarthy, Elizabeth Williams and Makaela Waroway. Seniors Kalex Dodge and Kiah Nichols and junior Peyton Pratt have been named to the All-MIAA Second Team.

FIRST TEAM

MIA JUDD (Grand Ledge, Mich./Lansing Christian HS) – Judd is the sixth individual in MIAA women's soccer history including the fourth from Calvin to be named a two-time MIAA MVP. Other individuals to have done so include Kalamazoo's Jennifer Russell (1991-1993), Calvin's Tricia Dyk (2001 & 2002), Calvin's Jill Capel (2005 & 2006), Adrian's Erin Weide (2012 & 2014) and Calvin's Lucy Iverson (2022 & 2023). Judd is making her third consecutive appearance on the All-MIAA First Team. A midfielder, Judd has provided a strong two-way presence this fall, recording five goals and an assist.

ELIZABETH WILLIAMS (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian HS) – Williams is making her fourth appearance on the All-MIAA First Team. A midfielder, she holds the distinction of becoming the first player in Calvin women's soccer history to be a part of six MIAA regular season championship teams (2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025) as she has used extra years of eligibility due to the Covid-19 pandemic and a medical hardship waiver after her 2022 campaign was shortened by injury. This fall, she hit the 100-point plateau for her career. Heading into MIAA Tournament play, she has 104 career points on the strength of 33 goals and 38 assists. In conference play this fall, she finished fifth in the MIAA scoring race with 12 points on the strength of three goals and six assists.

CECE MCCARTHY (Ypsilanti, Mich./Father Gabriel Richard HS) – McCarthy is receiving All-MIAA honors for the first time. A forward, she has 17 points this fall after scoring six goals and notching five assists. In conference play, she finished third in the MIAA in points (13) and assists (5).

MAKAELA WAROWAY (Ann Arbor, Mich./Father Gabriel Richard HS) – Waroway is receiving All-MIAA First Team honors for the first time. She was a member of the 2024 All-MIAA Second Team. A midfielder, Waroway leads Calvin in scoring with eight goals, three assists and 19 points. She was the 2025 MIAA scoring champion, notching 16 points on the strength of seven goals and two assists in eight conference games.

SECOND TEAM

KALEX DODGE  (Jackson, Mich./Leslie HS) – Dodge is receiving All-MIAA Second Team accolades for the second straight year. A goalkeeper, Dodge has a 12-4-0 record with three shutouts this fall. She has 59 saves with an .831 saves percentage and a 0.81 goals-against-average. In conference play, she led the MIAA in goals-against-average (0.587) and was second in saves (17).

KIAH NICHOLS (Hastings, Mich./Thornapple Kellogg HS) – Nichols is receiving All-MIAA honors for the first time. A midfielder, she has six goals and 12 points this fall. In conference play, she finished fourth in the MIAA in goals (5) and 10th in points (10).

PEYTON PRATT (Middleville, Mich./Thornapple Kellogg HS) – Pratt is receiving All-MIAA honors for the first time. A centerback, Pratt has moved smoothly into Calvin's starting lineup, helping the Knights post four shutouts this fall including four in league play. She also has one assist on the season.

Under the direction of head coach Emily Ottenhoff, Calvin is 12-4-0 overall. The Knights captured the MIAA regular season title with an 8-0-0 league record. The MIAA regular season crown is Calvin's sixth straight, matching the longest streak in MIAA women's soccer history, originally set by Kalamazoo from 1989-to-1994.
