Calvin University graduate student
Liz Williams was named MIAA Offensive Player of the Week for women's soccer on Monday.
Williams (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian) won the honor after her performance in the Knights' 4-1 win at Kalamazoo College on Wednesday, October 22.
In the 4-1 win, Williams contributed two goals and added one assist to help the Knights push their record to 11-4-0 overall and 7-0-0 in league play while clinching at least a share of their sixth consecutive MIAA regular season championship and the top overall seed in the MIAA Tournament.
With her five-point effort, Williams became the 12th player in Calvin women's soccer program history to record 100 points for her career.
This marks the fourth time Williams has won MIAA Offensive Player of the Week during her career.
Calvin women's soccer will return to action on Tuesday, October 28, when it hosts Adrian College for a match scheduled to start at 7:00 PM.
