Calvin University junior Lindsay Hart was named MIAA Defensive Player of the Week for women's soccer on Monday.
 
Hart (Midland, Mich./HH Dow) won the honor for her performance at center back for the Knights in a 5-0 shutout of Adrian College on Tuesday, October 28.
 
In the shutout win, Hart led a Calvin defensive effort that held the Bulldogs to only four total shots and one shot on goal.
 
The shutout was the eighth of the season for Calvin and the fourth during MIAA play, helping the Knights to a 12-4-0 overall record and 8-0-0 league mark on the way to their sixth consecutive MIAA regular season championship.
 
The Calvin women's soccer team will open their MIAA Tournament run on Tuesday, November 4, when it hosts Kalamazoo College in the semifinal round at Zuidema Field at 7:00 PM.
