RESULTS
DECATUR, Ill. - Today the Calvin University women's triathlon team traveled to Decatur, Ill. to compete in a Millikin DIII Invitational.
As a team the Knights placed seventh in a field of twelve competitors with a score of 147.
Senior
Kathryn Gardner (Sarasota, Fl./Riverview) was the first Knight to cross the finish line in fourteenth place at 1:11:37.
Brianna Timmer (Byron Center, Mich./Plymouth Christian) was the next Calvin finisher at 1:22:33 while
Sydney Stewart (Hutto, Tx./Hutto) was close behind at 1:25:55.
Rebekah Etherington (Brighton, Mich./Pinckney Community) crossed the finish line at 1:27:06 and
Nadia Beran (Stevensville, Mich./Lakeshore) finished at 1:27:24.
Anika Bouwman (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian) and
Brooklyn Badders (Gobles, Mich./Lake Bluff) rounded out the field for Calvin as they crossed the finish line at 1:32:47 and 1:33:31, respectively.
COACHES COMMENT: "The team did very well in very tough and hot conditions," said head coach Katie Carpenter.
UP NEXT: The Knights will be back in action on October 12th when they travel to Springfield, Missouri to compete in the NCAA West Regional Qualifier.
