SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Today the Calvin women's triathlon team went on the road to compete in the NCAA West Regional Qualifier where it took second place in the Division III race with 304 points.
Katheryn Gardner (Sarasota, Fl./Riverview) raced in the first wave of the day where she recorded an impressive time of 1:14:46.

Brianna Timmer (Byron Center, Mich./Plymouth) was the first Knight to cross the finish line in heat two at 1:20:33 while posting a 13:34 swim time, a 39:28 bike split, and a 24:58 run split. Freshman
Sydney Stewart (Hutto, Tx./Hutto) was the next Calvin finisher as she crossed the finish line at 1:25:21.

Nadia Beran (Stevensville, Mich./Lakeshore) which included an impressive swim split of 12:02. Freshman
Brooklyn Badders (Gobles, Mich./Otsego) rounded out the pack for Calvin as she crossed at 1:28:54.Â
COACHES COMMENT: "It was another hot day," said head coach Katie Carpenter. "Each lady raced very well. Katheryn Gardner raced in the A wave ith majority DI athletes and had a stellar results with tremendous competition. I'm sure of her overall placement on DIII, but she must have been right near the top five."
