2023 Maroon and Gold Football Scrimmage Replay - 9-30-23
The 2023 Calvin Homecoming Maroon and Gold Scrimmage is in the books. The event took place on September 30 at Grand Rapids Christian High School which will be the site of Calvin football's home games in 2024.
The intrasquad scrimmage took place in front of more than 3,000 Calvin Homecoming fans which included alumni, parents, students and other friends of Calvin University. The scrimmage featured two 10 minutes halves with the Maroon team recording a 10-7 victory.
The Calvin Sports Information Office gathered a post-game interview with Calvin head football coach Trent Figg after the scrimmage along with links to local media stories and photo galleries from the afternoon which are listed below.
Calvin is set to officially kick off its inaugural 2024 season when it hosts Oberlin College on September 7 at Grand Rapids Christian High School. The contest will be one of four home games for the Knights as they will host Alma on October 5 for Calvin Homecoming, rival Hope on November 9 and Albion on November 16.
