Three members of the Calvin football team were named to the National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society on Wednesday.

The three Calvin honorees were
Marcus Breuker (Hudsonville, Mich./Unity Christian),
Peter DeKruyter (Holland, Mich./Zeeland West) and
Tate Dohm (Petoskey, Mich./Petoskey)

To earn the honor from the NFF, you must be a senior or graduate student with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher and be a starter or contributor throughout the 2025 season.

Breuker, a mechanical engineering major with a 3.48 GPA, had a strong season along the defensive line, finishing with 13 total tackles, 6.0 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks while forcing one fumble.

DeKruyter is a financial planning and accounting major with a 3.88 GPA who contributed on special teams for the Knights this season along the offensive line.

Dohm is a secondary education major with a 3.53 GPA who also contributed on special teams, including as the team's holder on field goals and extra points while appearing in all 10 games.

The three seniors helped Calvin finish 7-3 overall and 4-3 in MIAA play in just their second season as a varsity program.
