Connor Comiskey was named MIAA Pitcher of the Week on Monday.
Comiskey (Shelby Township, Mich./Lutheran North) won the honor after going 12.0 innings and allowing only one run in his two starts in Florida last week.
In his first career start against Wartburg on February 27, Comiskey earned a win following five shutout innings in which he allowed only one hit and four walks while striking out five.
Later in the week, Comiskey threw a complete game against Penn State-Altoona on March 4 in which he allowed only one run on three hits and two walks while striking out six in in seven innings of a 1-0 defeat.Â
Comiskey and the Knights finished their nine-game trip to Florida with a 4-5 overall record. Comiskey is currently second in the MIAA in earned run average (ERA) at 0.75, and tied for second with 12.0 innings pitched.Â
The Knights are scheduled to return to action on Friday, March 10, when they travel to Covenant (Ga.) for the start of a three-game series.Â
