ORLANDO, Fla. - The Calvin University men's tennis team lost its exhibition match against Keiser University on Saturday by the final of 9-0 down in Florida.
Keiser took an early 3-0 lead with a sweep in doubles by the finals of 6-2, 6-1 and 6-2.
In singles play, Keiser won all six matches.
Stuart Johnston (Grand Blanc, Mich./Grand Blanc) took his number-two match to a third-set tiebreaker, but lost that tiebreak 10-2.
Jace DeShetler (Grand Rapids, Mich./NorthPointe Christian) also dropped his third-set tiebreak in number-six singles 10-5.
Calvin remains 6-1 on the season, and will return to action on Orlando against Covenant (Ga.) on Saturday, March 4, at 3:00 PM.
