GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Calvin men's tennis team returned to action for the first time since September with a 6-3 defeat in an exhibition match against Aquinas.
The Knights took one of the three doubles matches, as the number-three team of
Isaac Jeong (Novi, Mich./Novi) and Jared Berhorst (Hudsonville, Mich./Hudsonville) won 8-4. In the other two doubles matches, the Saints won 8-4 and 8-6.
Calvin also took home pair of singles wins as
Ryan Broek (Hudsonville, Mich./Unity Christian) won his number-five match in three sets (6-1, 1-6, 1-0) and number-six
Adam Zentner (Clarkston, Mich./Clarkston) also won a pair of tie-breakers to win 7-6, 7-6.
Harrison Sindelar (Westfield, Ind./Westfield) and
Stuart Johnston (Grand Blanc, Mich./Grand Blanc) each won the first set in singles, but were defeated in third-set tie-breakers.

Calvin will return to action on Saturday, February 11, when it hosts Capital University at 1:00 PM.
