The Calvin men's tennis team dropped an 8-1 conference match to rival Hope on Thursday afternoon at the Strikwerda Tennis Courts. 

Hope took two of the three doubles points. 

Calvin's lone point came at No. 2 doubles as the tandem of freshman Stuart Johnston (Grand Blanc, Mich./Grand Blanc HS) and sophomore Jared Berghorst (Hudsonville, Mich./Hudsonville HS) came up with an 8-7 victory, winning 7-4 in the tiebreaker. 

Hope swept the six singles points however to close out the match. 

Calvin dips to 10-7 overall and to 3-2 in the MIAA. 

The Knights are back in action on April 26, hosting Alma at 4 p.m. in a conference match.
