Calvin baseball picked up its sixth win of the season on Monday, defeating Grace Christian 15-7 in a non-conference contest. 

The Knights started the game by really getting the bats going as they outscored the Tigers 11-0 in the first two innings of play. Grace Christian put a couple runs on the board in the third and fourth inning, but Calvin also added more runs to its lead. 

 The Knights scored two more runs in the bottom of the fifth and another run in the seventh to take a commanding 15-3 as the game entered the top of the ninth. The Tigers put together four runs in the ninth, but it wasn't enough as the Knights held on to win 15-7. 

Senior Andrew Hung (Waterford, MI / Waterford Mott) had a big day with two hits and three RBIs including a towering three-run homerun to left. Freshman Matt Reynolds (Hopkins, MI / Hopkins) finished with two hits and three RBIs as well. 

Senior Rick Padilla (Poway, CA / Poway) and senior Nate Bonter (Grand Haven, MI / Grand Haven) had two hits and two RBIs apiece on the day for Calvin. Senior Zach Thor (Woodbury, MN / New Life Academy) picked up his first win on the season with three strikeouts and one walk. 

UP NEXT:  The Knights are back in action tomorrow hosting a doubleheader against Aquinas with game one starting at 1 p.m.
