Calvin Women's Golf Takes Fourth at MIAA Jamboree - Remains Second in MIAA Overall Team Standings

SAUGATUCK, Mich. - The Calvin women's golf team took fourth at an MIAA Jamboree hosted by Hope College Tuesday afternoon at the Clearbook Golf Club with a team score of 345 strokes.

The Knights remain in second place in the MIAA overall team standings, seven strokes ahead of Adrian and eight strokes ahead of Saint Mary's.

Sophomore Emma Dykhouse (Byron Center, Mich./South Christian HS) led Calvin with a round of 84 to finish tied for 10th place individually.

Senior Kaylee Hirschman (Grand Ledge, Mich./Grand Ledge HS) tied for 16th individually, posting a round of 86. Sophomore Chandler Sjoerdsma (Riverside, Ca./Martin Luther King HS) had an 87 with sophomore Georgie Scholtens (Grandville, Mich./Calvin Christian HS) coming in with an 88.

Junior Jericha Sharphorn (Hudsonville, Mich./Hudsonville HS) carded a round of 92. Competing individually, sophomore Katherine Lamer (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian HS) had a round of 104.

Host Hope led the team scores at 328. Grace Van Dellen of Hope was medalist with a round of 78.

Calvin will host an MIAA Jamboree on Saturday at the Thornapple Pointe Golf Club at 1 p.m.
