KALAMAZOO, Mich. Calvin women's golf took third place by a couple of strokes in the MIAA Jamboree hosted by Kalamazoo on Saturday afternoon at the Milham Golf Club.
Hope College took first place with a team score of 332 while Adrian took second with 333 points and the Knights took third with 335 points.
Senior Emma Dykhouse (Byron Center, MI / South Christian) led the team with a 77 on the day and finished fourth overall among all players.
Sophomore Chandler Sjoerdsma (Riverside, CA / Martin Luther King) finished with an 84 while teammate Kaylee Hirschman (Grand Ledge, MI / Grand Ledge) had an 86 for the Knights.
Sophomore Georgie Scholtens (Grandville, MI / Calvin Christian) scored an 88 on the match while junior Jericha Scharphorn (Hudsonville, MI / Hudsonville) finished with a 90 for Calvin. Sophomore Katherine Lamer (Grand Rapids, MI / Grand Rapids Christian) competed individually for the Knights and scored a 100 on the day.
The Knights remain in second place in the overall MIAA standings, just nine strokes behind first place Hope and six strokes ahead of third place Adrian.
UP NEXT: The Knights are back in action on Tuesday September 28 at 1pm in another MIAA Jamboree host by Hope at Clearbook Country Club.
