SPRING ARBOR, Mich. - Calvin dropped a 6-1 non-conference decision at Spring Arbor University Thursday afternoon.
The loss snapped Calvin's four-match win streak as the Knights dipped to 5-5 overall.
The doubles competition was played as a single pro-set point with winning two out of three doubles flights worth one point. The host Cougars took all three doubles flights to take the doubles point.
Spring Arbor took five of the six singles flights with three of the wins coming in third set tiebreakers.
Calvin's lone singles point came from freshman Harrison Sindelar (Westfield, Ind./Westfield HS) at No. 3 singles Sindelar defeated Drew Hall 6-4, 1-6, 10-8 at No. 3 singles.
Calvin will close out its regular season on Saturday when it hosts Trine University at 2 p.m. at the Strikwerda Tennis Courts.
