BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - Calvin Women's Golf is currently in fifth place at the MIAA Fall Tournament with a team score of 338. The Knights sit third overall in the MIAA standings currently.
Saint Mary's leads the fall tournament with 322 strokes with Hope in second with 325, and Adrian holds third place with 328.
Sophomore Chandler Sjoerdsma (Riverside, CA / Martin Luther King) led the team with an 81 which places her eight overall amongst all players. Senior Kaylee Hirshman (Grand Ledge, MI / Grand Ledge) was one stroke behind with an 82 on the day, which tied her ninth overall.
Junior Jericha Scharphorn (Hudsonville, MI / Hudsonville) was third for the Knights with a score of 86. Sophomore Georgie Scholtens (Grandville, MI / Calvin Christian) and sophomore Brandi Statema (Holland, MI / Holland Christian) each scored an 89 for Calvin to round out the team play.
Sophomore Katherine Lamer (Grand Rapids, MI / Grand Rapids Christian) was the only in individual play and scored a 107 on the day.
UP NEXT: The Knights are back in action tomorrow at 10 a.m. for the second round of the MIAA Fall Tournament at Bedford Valley Country Club.
