GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Calvin men's Tennis team fell to Spring Arbor 9-0 on Wednesday evening at Strikwerda Outdoor Tennis Center. 

Starting with doubles play, Jose' Larrea and Max Stallings fell to Nick Romano and Ryan MacLean 8-3 at # 1. At #2 doubles, the team of Alex Rienbold and Patrick Doerr defeated Jason Wolters and Owen Brookhouse 8-5. Closing out doubles at #3, the team of Konner Shapiro and Kyrus Tsai fell to Connor Mogle and Brendan Bentley 8-5. 

Moving on to singles play, Larrea fell to Romano in a three-set battle of 7-6, 7-3, 7-5. At No. 2, Reinbold defeated Wolters 6-4, 6-2. 

At No. 3, Stallings fell to MacLean in a three-set match of 5-7, 6-4, 6-0. Brandon Johnson dropped to Partick Doerr at No. 4. At No. 5, Sam Herd defeated Cobe Benzel 6-2, 6-4. Rounding out singles play, Charlie Fahr fell to Mogle 6-1, 6-1. 

The Knights return to competition on Friday as they host Albion at 4 p.m.
