The Calvin men's tennis team dipped to 5-4 on the year with a 6-3 loss to the visiting Cougars of Spring Arbor University Wednesday afternoon at the Strikwerda Tennis Courts.

Spring Arbor took two of the three doubles points. Calvin's lone win in doubles play came from Tom Griffin and Matt Buesing at two doubles with the tandem winning by an 8-3 score.

In singles play, Spring Arbor won four of the six singles points. Calvin's two wins came from Matt VanWinkle (6-3, 7-6) at two singles and Buesing (6-0, 6-1) at three singles.

Calvin is back in action on April 7 when it hosts Adrian at 4 p.m.
