Men's Tennis in Full Swing in Sunshine State

The Calvin men's tennis team has posted a 1-2 record thus far on its spring trip to Florida.

Calvin opened the trip with a 6-3 loss to Bethel University of Minnesota and then fell 9-0 to the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse Tuesday night. On Wednesday, Calvin came back to defeat Concordia of Wisconsin 7-2. The Knights are now 3-3 on the season.

In its loss to Bethel, Calvin picked up a win from Tom Griffin and Matt Buesing at two doubles. Freshman Matt VanWinkle was a winner at three singles while freshman David Brown was a winner at six singles.

In the win over Concordia this morning, Calvin took home wins at two and three doubles. Buesing and Griffin were winners at two doubles while Gene Hill and Christopher Dausman were winners at three doubles.

Singles winners included Buesing (1), Griffin (2), VanWinkle (3), Brown (5), and sophomore Anthony Vroon (6).

Calvin is back in action on Friday when it takes on Lawrence University of Wisconsin.
