The Calvin University women's volleyball team is ranked 15th in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) top 25 poll released on Tuesday.

The Knights entered the season ranked 15th and fell six spots in this week's poll.

Calvin opened the season with a two-day tournament hosted by Colorado College last week and went 2-1, including a thrilling five-set reverse sweep against the host school on Friday night. The Knights also earned a 3-0 sweep of St. Norbert College before falling in four sets to Augustana College (Ill.) to close the event.

Under the direction of head coach Amber Warners, Calvin was picked to finish first in the MIAA Preseason Poll.

Calvin will return to action this weekend when it travels to Hope College for the two-day MIAA/NCAC Challenge. The Knights will face Ohio Wesleyan University on Friday night, followed by Saturday matches against Denison University and Wittenberg University.
