The Calvin University women's volleyball team was ranked ninth in the American Volleyball Coaches Association preseason top 25 poll released by the organization on Thursday.

The Knights, under the direction of head coach Dr. Amber Warners, are coming off a season in which they finished 28-4 and advanced to the NCAA III Tournament quarterfinals after winning the MIAA Tournament and Illinois Wesleyan University regional. 

Following the end of last season, Calvin was ranked eighth in the final AVCA top 25 poll..

Earlier this week, the Knights were picked to finish first in the MIAA Preseason Poll, receiving seven of a possible eight first-place votes.

Calvin is scheduled to face a pair of teams ranked in the AVCA preseason poll this season in #16 UW-Whitewater and #17 Hope College, as well as Otterbein University and Wittenberg University, which are both receiving votes in the poll.

The Knights are scheduled to open the 2026 season with a tournament at Colorado College on September 4-5. The Knights will face St. Norbert College and Colorado College on September 4, followed by a match against Augustana College on September 5.
