The Calvin University women's volleyball team earned the Team Academic Award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) for the 17th straight season on Thursday.
 
The award honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that maintain a team cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.3 or higher throughout the school year.

The Calvin women's volleyball team produced an overall team GPA of 3.376 over the course of the 2025-26 academic year. 
 
Under the direction of head coach Dr. Amber Warners, the Calvin women's volleyball team is one of 1,432 high school and collegiate volleyball programs to earn the award.
 
The Knights finished the 2025 season with a 28-4 record that included a 7-1 league mark. Calvin went on to win the MIAA Tournament and NCAA III Tournament regional before falling in the quarterfinal round of the NCAA III Tournament.
 
The 2026 Calvin University women's volleyball season will open on Friday, September 4, when it plays St. Norbert College in a tournament hosted by Colorado College.
