Calvin's
Adam Haldorson has been named the Division III Great Lakes Women's Outdoor Track and Field Coach of the Year by the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association.
In his fourth year as Calvin head track and field coach, Haldorson led the Knights to a fourth-place team finish at the 2026 NCAA DIII Outdoor Championships last weekend, highest in the Great Lakes Region. At the meet, his athletes claimed three individual national titles with
Sophie Bull taking first in the steeplechase and
Sydney Radigan taking first in both the 100 meter dash and 200 meter dash.
Calvin rates No. 1 in the Great Lakes Region in seven women's events and had 17 athletes earn All-Region honors in women's track and field.
Earlier in the spring, he led the Calvin women's track and field team to its second straight MIAA Outdoor Track and Field title. He was later named MIAA Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Coach of the Year.
