Two members of the Calvin ACHA D1 Hockey team were named ACHA D1 All-Americans last month.

Senior forward Steven Ickes was named to the ACHA Division I All-America First Team. Sophomore defenseman Hayden Zimmerman has been named to the ACHA DI All-America Second Team.

Ickes is receiving ACHA D1 1^st Team All-America honors for the second straight year. He hails from Marine City, Michigan. He played his junior hockey with the Oakland Jr. Grizzlies of the HPHL. Ickes flashed his all-around skill throughout the 2025-26 campaign, ultimately receiving Most Valuable Player honors from the GL6 Conference. In 30 games, he scored 21 goals along with 35 assists for a team-leading 56 points. He netted six power-play goals with four of his season goals proving to be game-winners. He helped Calvin reach the ACHA D1 National Tournament semifinals, marking the furthest Calvin has advanced in the competition. He was later named to the ACHA D1 All-Tournament Second Team.

Zimmerman is receiving All-America honors for the first time. He is Grand Rapids, Michigan. He played his junior hockey with the Janesville Jets of the NAHL. Zimmerman was a gritty defenseman for the Knights with added scoring pop. In 28 games, he had 10 goals and 17 assists for 27 points. He had four power-play goals and two game-winning goals during the season.

Under the direction of head coach Josh Petrusma, the Calvin ACHA D1 hockey team finished 23-9-2 during the 2025-26 campaign. Calvin reached the GL6 Tournament Championship game and later received a bid to the ACHA D1 National Tournament. At the tournament, Calvin ripped off wins over Rhode Island, Drury and Niagara before falling to Ohio University in the national semifinals.

In addition to Ickes receiving All-Tournament Second Team honors, sophomore goalie Aidan Feddema (Bowmanville, ON / Carleton Place Canadians (CCHL)) and freshman defenseman Marshall Beaker (Brighton, Mich. PAL Jr/ Islanders (NCDC) received All-Tournament Second Team honors. Senior forward Krzyzstof Petryla (Krynica-Zdroj, PL Waterloo Siskins (GOJHL)) and sophomore Trent Benedict (Muskegon, Mich./Davenport Panthers (ACHA) received Honorable Mention All-Tournament honors.
