Four members of the Calvin men's swimming and diving team have received College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors. Receiving CSC Academic All-District accolades are graduate student
Zachary Logan, senior
Charles Platt, junior
Ryan Halberg and senior
Jacob Ziegler.
To receive CSC Academic All-District accolades, individuals must be a sophomore year or higher in academic standing, hold a cumulative 3.50 grade point average and posted a top-eight individual finish at their conference championship meet. Schools could nominate a maximum of four individuals.
In addition, Platt has advanced to the national ballot and is now eligible for Academic All-America consideration.
ZACHARY LOGAN (Byron Center, Mich./Byron Center HS)
Logan is receiving CSC Academic All-District honors for the second time. Logan is a graduate student in accounting. He has been a three-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and an eight-time member of the Calvin Dean's List. He competes in the freestyle and backstroke events. At the 2026 MIAA Championships, he placed eighth in the 100 backstroke and helped Calvin score in the relay events.
CHARLES PLATT (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove North HS)
Platt is receiving CSC Academic All-District honors for the second time. An accounting major, he has been a regular member of the Calvin Dean's List and the MIAA Academic Honor Roll. At the MIAA Championships in February, Platt was the MIAA champion in the 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle and 50 freestyle. He was named to the All-MIAA Team for a fourth straight season and was named MIAA Men's Most Valuable Swimmer. Platt is an 18-time Division III All-American. At the NCAA III Championships last month, he claimed 1st Team All-America honors in the 100 backstroke (3rd place), 200 freestyle (3
rd place) and 100 freestyle (6
th place). He was also a part of Second Team All-America relay teams at the 2026 NCAA III Championships as a member of Calvin's 200 and 400 medley relay teams and 400 and 800 freestyle relay teams.
RYAN HALLBERG (Novi, Mich./Northville HS)
Halberg is receiving CSC Academic All-District honors for the second time. He is a business marketing and digital communication. He is a two-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and has been a five-time member of the Calvin Dean's List. At the MIAA Championships in February, he placed fifth in the 100 back, sixth in the 1650 freestyle and fourth in the 500 freestyle. At the NCAA III Championships last month, he was part of Calvin's 2
nd Team All-America 800 freestyle relay team.
JACOB ZIEGLER (Toledo, Oh./St. John's Jesuit HS)
Ziegler is receiving CSC Academic All-District honors for the first time. He is a kinesiology major. He has been a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and Calvin Dean's list. He earned a first-place finish in the 200 butterfly (1:51.16) with a new personal-best time. He also finished second in the 200 backstroke (1:51.32) and 200 individual medley (1:50.49) with new personal-best times. He also took part in three first-place relay finishes, including the MIAA-record breaking 800 freestyle relay, the 400 medley relay and the 400 freestyle relay. He also swam in the 200 freestyle relay, which took second in the 'B' final of that event. He was named to the 2026Â All-MIAA team. At the NCAA III Championships last month, he was a member of Calvin's 2
nd Team All-America 800 freestyle relay team.
