Indianapolis, Ind. – Calvin posted three All-America swims on the final day of competition at the NCAA III Swimming and Diving Championships at the IU Natatorium. Senior Charles Platt (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove North HS) took sixth in the 100 freestyle, freshman Jackson Merkel (Grandville, Mich./Grandville HS) took 16^th in the 200 backstroke and the 400 freestyle relay team of Platt, sophomore Carter Detweiler (Farmington Hills, Mich./Council Rock North), Merkel and freshman David Gabrielle (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty HS) took 16^th .

The collection of finishes allowed Calvin to finish 12^th in the final team standings with 100 points.

Platt led off the evening by placing sixth in the 100 freestyle in a time of 43.90. It marked his third straight top-eight individual swim of the meet, joining his third place finishes in the 200 freestyle and 100 backstroke earlier in the meet.

Merkel placed 16^th in the 200 backstroke in a time of 1:49.25 which was good for 2^nd Team Division III All-America honors. It came on the heels of a fifth place All-America swim in the 100 backstroke the night before.

Platt, Detweiler, Merkel and Gabrielle then took 16^th in the 400 freestyle relay in a time of 3:01.73 for 2^nd Team Division III All-America accolades.
