Morgan Bethard was named MIAA Offensive Player of the Week for women's lacrosse on Monday.
Bethard (DeWitt, Mich./DeWitt) won the honor after scoring 10 goals with two assists as the Knights split their first two games of MIAA play.
After scoring five goals with one assist in the Knights' 17-15 defeat to Hope College in the MIAA opener, Bethard scored five goals with one assist to help the Knights win 19-11 at Trine University on Saturday, April 4, to move to 7-5 on the season and 1-1 in league play.
To go with her 12 points, Bethard also finished with two ground balls and one caused turnovers. She also scored her 10 goals on only 13 shots.
This season, Bethard ranks second on the Knights with 34 goals and third on the team with 43 total points.
Calvin women's lacrosse will return to action on Tuesday, April 7, when it hosts Albion College in a game scheduled to start at 7:00 PM.
