Calvin University freshman Zach Hartemink was named MIAA Field Athlete of the Week for men's outdoor track and field on Monday.
 
Hartemink (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian) won the honor for his performance in the pole vault at Grand Valley State University on Saturday, April 4.
 
At the GVSU meet, Hartemink set a new lifetime-best in the pole vault by clearing 4.55 meters, putting him second in the MIAA this outdoor season, 44th in NCAA III, and ninth all-time at Calvin.
 
Calvin track and field will return to action on Friday, April 10, when it competes at the Al Owens Classic at Grand Valley State University.
