DEB VERCAUTEREN PROGRAM OF THE YEAR STANDINGS

The Calvin women's cross country and women's track and field programs have combined to post a top-10 placement in the Deb Vercauteren Women's Program of the Year standings sponsored by the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association.

Calvin is currently in currently in eighth in the 2025-26 standings with a total of 27.0 points.

The USTFCCCA Deb Vercauteren Program of the Year Award honors the institution that has achieved the most success in each academic year (spanning the cross country, indoor track & field and outdoor track & field seasons) based on the institution's finish at the NCAA Championships. It is named after the legendary Wisconsin-Oshkosh women's cross country and distance coach.

To be eligible for the award, teams must qualify for each of the NCAA Championships. Scoring is based on the team's finish at each NCAA Championship in cross country, indoor track & field and outdoor track & field (i.e. 1st = 1 point, 2nd = 2 points … 31st = 31 points) with the lowest total score for all three championships combined determining the award winner. Ties among schools split points for positions taken.

The Calvin women's cross country and track and field programs have combined to post a pair of national finishes this academic year. The women's cross country program finished 21st at the NCAA III Cross Country Championships in November. In March, the Calvin women's indoor track and field team finished sixth at the NCAA III Indoor Championships.
