Calvin graduate student
Sydney Radigan has received more national honors as she has been named the M-F Athletic Division III National Women's Track Athlete of the Week as named by the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association.
Radigan (Portland, Ore./St. Stephen's Academy) chased down history this past weekend.
Radigan posted a pair of all-time top-five marks at the GVSU Extra Weekend Meet. The Calvin standout ran a wind-aided 11.40 in the 100 meters to move to No. 2 in NCAA DIII history on an all-conditions basis, and added a wind-legal 23.50 in the 200 for the No. 4 performance.
This is the first time in program history that a female athlete from Calvin has been named M-F Athletic National Athlete of the Week during the outdoor season.
On Monday, Radigan was named MIAA Women's Track Athlete of the Week. She is part of a Calvin women's track and field team that is ranked No. 7 in the latest USTFCCCA Division III National Ratings Index. Calvin will compete at the MIAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships this Thursday and Friday at Hope College.
