FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. --Â Calvin University head coach Adam Haldorson has been named the 2026 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Coach of the Year after leading both Knights squads to conference titles at the 2026 MIAA Indoor Track & Field Championships Presented by Collegiate Credit Union.
Haldorson guided both programs to championship performances, marking another milestone season for Calvin track and field. The men captured their fourth meet championship title under the current format and their first since 2019, while the women secured their second-consecutive championship and fourth meet title in program history. The MIAA title double was Calvin's first in indoor track and field since 2017.
For Haldorson, the recognition marks his second-straight Coach of the Year honor on the women's side and the first time he has received the award for the men's program. Now in his fourth season as head coach, he has quickly helped elevate both squads to the top of the conference standings.
Calvin's success was reflected in the conference postseason awards. Under Haldorson's leadership, 11 women earned All-MIAA First Team honors while seven additional athletes were named to the All-MIAA Second Team. On the men's side, nine athletes received First Team All-MIAA recognition and two more were announced to the Second Team.
The Knights will now await the announcement of qualifiers for the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships, which will be revealed on March 8. The national meet is scheduled to take place March 13-14 at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama.
