Calvin's Sydney Radigan Named NCAA Women's Division III Indoor Track Athlete of the Championships

NEW ORLEANS—Calvin graduate student Sydney Radigan has been named the Division III Women's Most Outstanding Track Performer of the recently completed 2026 NCAA III Indoor Track and Field Championships by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Each year, the USTFCCCA honors the Outstanding Performers of the Championships at both the NCAA DIII Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Winners are determined using a formula that adds together team points scored, plus meet records (five additional points), Division III seasonal bests (three additional points) and facility records (one point). Relay points, if applicable, are split equally among the four team members.

Radigan, the Most Outstanding Women's Track Performer of the Championships, totaled 26 points using the above formula.

Radigan (Portland, Ore./St. Stephen's Academy) picked up 18 points with her finishes on the track as she captured the national title in the 60 meter dash (10 points) and took second in the 200 meters (8 points). She set an NCAA III meet record in the prelims of the 200 meters in  a time of 23.71 (5 points) and had a season-best time in winning the 60 meter dash (3 points).

Her finishes on Saturday were instrumental in Calvin placing sixth as a team at the NCAA III Indoor Track and Field Championships last weekend, marking its best-ever team finish at the indoor national meet.
