Calvin University junior Ryan Halberg was named MIAA Men's Swimmer of the Week on Monday.
 
Halberg (Novi, Mich./Northville) won the honor following his performance in a dual meet win over Hope College at Venema Aquatic Center on Friday, February 6.
 
At the meet, Halberg set a pair of season-best times in a pair of top-two finishes, including a first-place finish in the 200 freestyle in a time of 1:42.5.
 
Halberg also took second place in the 200 backstroke in 1:52.7.
 
Calvin swimming and diving will return to action next week when it starts the four-day MIAA Swimming & Diving Championships on Wednesday, February 18.
