Calvin University junior Nick Bultje was named MCVL Defensive Player of the Week for the second straight week on Tuesday.
 
Bultje (Byron Center, Mich./South Christian) won the honor after helping the Knights to a 2-0 week with road wins at Mount St. Joseph University (3-0) and Wittenberg University (3-1).
 
In the two conference wins, Bultje averaged 2.0 blocks per set, including a nine-block effort in the four-set win over Wittenberg. Bultje also averaged 1.9 kills per set in the two matches.
 
This season, Bultje is averaging 1.41 blocks per set, which leads all of NCAA III this season.
 
The 10-2 Calvin men's volleyball team will return to action tonight (Tuesday, February 24) when it faces Trinity Christian College in a match scheduled to start at 6:00 PM in Hoogenboom Gymnasium.
